Error 1: DJI Inspire battery error.

In most cases, DJI Inspire battery error is caused by a faulty battery, faulty power management board, and battery firmware glitches.

Fix DJI Inspire Battery Error.

  • Refresh or upgrade battery firmware. Update Inspire firmware while keeping the glitched battery inside. Read How to Update DJI Inspire firmware.
  • Drain the battery to zero and recharge it fully.
  • Replace the battery.
  • Get DJI Support (Change power management board). If the battery error still exists, the power management board might be glitched or damaged. So you might have to replace or repair the power management board. Better to contact DJI Support.


Error 2: DJI Inspire ESC status error.

Most of the time, DJI Inspire ESC status error is caused by outdated firmware and faulty electronic speed controller (ESC).

How to Fix DJI Inspire ESC error.

  • Restart the Inspire aircraft.
  • Update or refresh DJI Inspire firmware.
  • Calibrate Inspire IMU. Place the Inspire on a flat surface. Power on DJI Inspire aircraft, and controller, and connect to the DJI GO app. Open the DJI GO app and enter the camera view. Click on three dots at the top left corner and visit Main controller settings > advanced settings > sensors > IMU and tap calibrate IMU. Then wait until the process is done.

How to Fix DJI Inspire IMU Error.

  • Restart the aircraft.
  • Calibrate DJI Inspire IMU. Place the Inspire on a flat surface. Power on DJI Inspire aircraft, and controller, and connect to the DJI GO app. Open the DJI GO app and enter the camera view. Go to Main controller settings> Sensors > IMU and hit “Calibrate”. Then wait for a few seconds until the calibration is done.
  • Update DJI Inspire Firmware and try again an IMU calibration.
  • Change the calibration location and try again IMU calibration.


Error 4: DJI Inspire Compass error.

In most cases, DJI Inspire “Compass Error” is thrown due to placing or flying the aircraft near any kind of magnetic field.

How to Fix DJI Inspire Compass Error.

  • Restart the aircraft.
  • Avoid Electromagnetic interference. Avoid flying near powerlines, communication towers, huge buildings, etc.
  • Calibrate the Inspire compass in an open wide area. Move away from the place where you currently receive Compass Error to an open area. Then perform a proper compass calibration.
  • Update the firmware and try compass calibration again.
  • Contact DJI Support. If you still get the error, the compass might be faulty. it’s better to contact DJI for repair.


Error 6: DJI Inspire data recorder error.

As I found DJI Inspire data recorder error can’t be fixed by common solutions like updating firmware or reinstalling the DJI GO app. The best way to fix the data recorder error is just formatting the DJI Inspire SD card.

How to fix DJI Inspire data recorder error.

  • Restart the aircraft.
  • Format the DJI Inspire SD card. Take out the SD card from DJI Inspire and connect to the PC using an SD card reader or adaptor. Then go to “This PC”, and right-click on the SD card drive, and click format. Once the SD card is formatted, insert the SD card back to the aircraft and power on the drone.
