There are two ways to update DJI Mavic drones. The first one is updating the Aircraft firmware using the DJI app (DJI Fly/ DJI Go/ DJI GO4). It’s quite the simple and the quickest way to update the firmware. If you don’t have any issues with connecting the remote controller to the Mavic Pro and you don’t have any access to a PC, this would be the perfect option.

The other option is to update the firmware using DJI Assistant 2. If your DJI Mavic Pro has an issue with connecting the controller and need to fix the issue by updating the firmware, you would have to update them separately using the DJI Assistant 2 PC application. If you have a serious problem with connecting the aircraft to the remote controller read Drone Not Connecting to the Remote Controller to find out more about the issue and solve it.
