Step 1: Restart the DJI FPV unit.

As I said before this also could be just a temporary system glitch. So first, let’s restart the DJI FPV unit and check whether the error is gone.   1. Go to the “Settings” menu of your device.
  2. Then scroll down and tap “Apps”/”Applications”. All the installed apps would be displayed on the screen.
  3. Then scroll down and tap on “DJI Fly”.
  4. You might see the option to “clear cache” option. If it is tap on that and clear the cache.
  5. If you see the “Storage” button, tap on that and then you would find the option to clear cache data.

Step 3: Uninstall the DJI Fly app and Power the whole FPV unit off.

Before uninstalling the DJI Fly app be sure to log out from your DJI account. Once you logged out from the account uninstall the DJI Fly app on your device.

Then power off the whole DJI FPV unit including aircraft, goggles, and controller.

Step 4: Disconnect the phone from the goggles and Redownload the DJI Fly app.

Next, we need to download the DJI Fly app without connecting to the goggles.

If you are an IOS user,

  • Tap on the IOS icon and the app would be open in Appstore. Tap on “GET” button and install the app.

If you are an Android user,

  • Tap on the Android icon and the apk file would be downloaded to the mobiles downloads directory.
  • Go to your downloads directory and click on the downloaded file.
  • Then follow the simple steps prompted from the device and install the app.

Step 5: Create a dummy DJI account.

Right now, we need to use a dummy DJI account to use login DJI Fly app. So use a different email and create a new account and log in to that account.

Step 6: Turn on the DJI FPV unit.

Power on the DJI FPV unit properly as mentioned below.

  • Turn on the drone and give it 1-3 minutes to connect all satellites.
  • Then turn on the controller.
  • Then turn on the goggles and connect to the mobile device.

Step 7: Clear all cache data again.

Step 8: Log out from the DJI Fly app and uninstall it.

  • Disconnect the phone from the goggles and log out from the DJI Fly app.
  • Then uninstall the app.
  • After that turn off the whole DJI FPV unit including the aircraft, goggles, and controller.

Step 9: Download and Install the DJI Fly app again.

  • Visit the DJI Fly app’s page of the DJI Downloads center and download and install the DJI Fly app as explained in step 4.

Step 10: Log in to the DJI Fly app using the original DJI account.

This time you need to log in to the DJI Fly app using your original DJI account that connected with your DJI FPV.

  • Launch the DJI Fly app and log in using your original DJI account.
  • Then power on the drone and wait for 1-3 minutes to connect satellites.
  • Power on the controller.
  • Power on the goggles and connect the phone to the goggles.

Step 11: Celebration.
