Common DJI Mavic 3 Problems And How to Fix Them!

Common DJI Mavic 3 Problems.

Problem 1: DJI Mavic 3 won’t connect to the remote controller.

Most of the time, DJI Mavic 3 won’t connect to the remote controller when the aircraft is not linked to the remote controller. Also if the DJI Mavic 3 aircraft and the remote controller aren’t in the same version of firmware, they won’t be able to connect.

Solution 1: Update the DJI Mavic 3 aircraft and RC to the same version of the firmware.

  • Download and install the DJI Assistant 2 application to the PC.
  • Open DJI Assistant 2 application.
  • Power on the DJI Mavic 3 aircraft and connect to the PC using the USB cable.

  • Then click on the popped Mavic 3 box on the screen.

  • Enter your DJI account information that is bound to your Mavic 3.
  • Then enter the “Firmware Update” panel

  • Click on the “Upgrade” or “Refresh” button in front of the latest firmware. Or if you decide to downgrade to a recent firmware click on the “Downgrade” button in front of the recent firmware
  • Then click “Start Update”.

  • Once the aircraft is updated, the aircraft would be restarted automatically. Then unplug the aircraft.

  • Next power on the remote controller and connect it to the PC.

  • Then click on the update/downgrade/refresh button in front of the firmware that the aircraft updated to.

  • Once the remote controller is updated, it would restart automatically. Then unplug it from the PC.

Solution 2: Link the Mavic 3 to the RC.

  • Connect the remote controller to the mobile device.

  • Open the DJI Fly app and tap “Connection Guide”.

  • Then tap “Pair”. The RC would start beeping and the LED indicators would blink in sequence.

  • Press and hold the aircraft power button for 4 seconds. Then release once the aircraft beeps.

Problem 2: DJI Mavic 3 Quick transfer not working.

In most cases, the DJI Fly app which is the DJI Mavic 3 app Quick transfer won’t work because of using cellular data to download files.

Solution 1: Turn off cellular data and turn on Wifi.

  • Also, it’s better to turn on airplane mode to shut down all cellular connections.

Problem 3: DJI Mavic 3 Airsense not working.

In many cases, DJI Mavic 3 Airsense malfunctions because of firmware issues, and the DJI Fly app issues. So in order to avoid Airsense issues, you have to keep the firmware and the DJI Fly app on the latest version.

Solution 1: Update the DJI Mavic 3 firmware to the latest version.

  • Connect the mobile device to the remote controller.
  • Power on the Mavic 3 aircraft and the remote controller.
  • Then launch the DJI Fly app.
  • If new firmware is available, you would see a notification on the screen. Tap on the “Install”.
  • Then tap “Update”.
  • Once the firmware is updated, the aircraft would restart automatically.

Solution 2: Update DJI Fly app to the latest version.

  • First, uninstall the currently installed DJI Fly app version from the device. Then restart the mobile device to clear app data and cache data.
  • Visit the DJI Downloads center using your mobile device.
  • Click on the DJI Fly app to enter the app’s download page.
If you are an IOS user,
  • Tap on the IOS icon and the app would be open in Appstore. Tap on the “GET” button and install the app.
If you are an Android user,
  • Tap on the Android icon and the apk file would be downloaded to the mobiles downloads directory. Once it is downloaded visit your downloads directory and click on the downloaded file. Then follow the simple steps prompted by the device and install the app.

Problem 4: DJI Mavic 3 slow home point lock.

Usually, DJI Mavic 3 slow home point lock issue is caused by firmware glitches. So if you are getting this issue after updating the firmware update, you have to downgrade the firmware. Also, make sure to update the firmware once the new debugged firmware is released.

Solution: Downgrade the firmware and wait for the debugged firmware update.

  • Download and install the DJI Assistant 2 application to the PC.
  • Open DJI Assistant 2 application.
  • Power on the DJI Mavic 3 aircraft and connect to the PC using the USB cable.

  • Connect the remote controller to the PC and follow the above steps and downgrade its firmware to the same firmware as the aircraft.
  • Once the new firmware is released, update the Mavic 3 firmware to the latest version.
