How To Calibrate Parrot Bebop / Parrot Anafi Properly (Step-By-Step)

If your parrot drone is unstable and not flying as it used to, calibrating the parrot drone is the best way to fix the issue. Calibrating the parrot drone doesn’t take that much time and you can do it easily. Actually, it takes only 2 or 3 minutes to calibrate the drone and reset the flat trim.

How to Calibrate Parrot Bebop 2 Magnetometer.

  1. Power on the Parrot Bebop 2 aircraft.
  2. Go to the Wifi settings of your smartphone and search for the available devices.
  3. Once the Bebop2 wifi settings popped, click on it and connect the smartphone to the aircraft.
  4. Then launch the Parrot Freeflight Pro app on your smartphone.
  5. Click on the top button with the drone icon and your bebop2 name.
  6. Then click on “Calibration” and click on ‘Calibrate’. Once you’ve done that you will be directed to the calibration process.
  7. Pick up the Bebop2 drone and move the drone in the same direction as the Freeflight app shows.
  8. First, turn your drone in an anti-clockwise movement to calibrate the Z axis. When the Z axis turns green, move to the Y axis.
  9. Flip the drone over on its Y axis until the green light shows in the box.
  10. Finally, do the drone barrel role and calibrate the Bebop 2 X axis. All these actions are demonstrated on the Freeflight app screen. So you don’t need to remember these instructions. You just have to do the same thing demonstrated on the screen.
  11. Once all Z, Y, and X axis are green, the Parrot Bebop 2 calibration is successful. Put the bebop drone back on the ground and finish the calibration process.

How to reset Parrot Bebop 2 Flat Trim.

  1. Connect your smartphone to the Parrot Bebop2 through Wifi.

  4. Place the drone on the Parrot Bebop 2 on a flat surface and hit “Calibrate” on the Freeflight app. The calibration process would be started.

  1. Power on the Parrot Anafi aircraft.
  2. Go to the Wifi settings and look for Anafi’s wifi settings. Once the Anafi wifi settings popped, click on it and connect the smartphone to the aircraft.
  3. Then launch the Parrot Freeflight 6 app on your smartphone and click on the button with the drone icon.
  4. Then click on “Drone Calibration” and click on ‘Calibrate’. Once you’ve done that you will be directed to the calibration process.
  5. Pick up the Anafi drone and move the drone in the same direction as shown on the Freeflight 6 app.
  6. First, turn your drone in an anti-clockwise movement to calibrate the Z axis. When the Z axis turns green, move to the Y axis.
  7. Flip the drone over on its Y axis until the green light shows in the box.
  8. Finally, do the drone barrel role and calibrate the Anafi X axis. All these actions are demonstrated on the Freeflight app screen. So you don’t need to remember these instructions. You just have to do the same thing demonstrated on the screen.
  9. Once all Z, Y, and X axis are calibrated and those checkboxes are green, the Parrot Anafi calibration is successful. Put the Anafi back on the ground and finish the calibration process.
